trust.

How valuable, how irreplaceable, how essential trust is— most importantly between two people. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned not to throw my trust around. Although I tend to still do. I’ve learned to stop giving away my trust so easily to people who don’t deserve it. I’ve learned that if you don’t have trust in a relationship, things naturally don’t go right. I’ve learned that if you don’t have trust in a friendship, you can’t consider a person a ‘friend’. I’ve learned that if someone who betrays me or stabs me in the back, they’ll never regain my trust because I’ll never give it to them again. I’ve learned that trust holds so much faith in another person, hoping they value my trust as much as I value theirs. I’ve learned that being trusted with a secret, means guarding it with all your heart. I’ve learned that telling a secret, stops making it a secret. Trust is like a vase. You can break it & put the pieces back together again, but it’ll never be the same.
